Show Summary

The gang opens the show paying tribute to actor Rip Torn, who passed away since the last recording. Adam then recalls a conversation he had with Indy driver Scott Dixon earlier today, and the guys talk about Laxamana’s speeding ticket, which leads to a rant about raising the speed limits. Next up, Adam’s documentary partner Nate Adams joins the studio. The guys talk about a new Hill Climb speed record broken by an electric car, as well as Nate’s wrestling background. They also discuss the status of the Shelby doc, Uppity, and how you can be an investor in a future documentary. Before the break, Adam yells at Nate for clipping his fire suit hangar in Monterey several years ago.

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about what SD did about the homeless population, even though it was seen as unpopular at the time. They also discuss the crisis happening in Los Angeles, the family reunification program that San Diego is participating in, as well as their bridge shelter program. Other topics of conversation include cleaning up the oceans, over-regulation in California, and Comic Con returning for its 50th year.

Gina begins today’s news talking about the death of actor Rip Torn. They also talk about Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul’s new Mezcal company, the latest viral airplane videos, and AOC being sued for blocking Twitter users she disagrees with. As the show wraps up, the guys talk about Barbra Streisand traveling everywhere with her dogs.
